WELCOME, SPRING! And May the Fourth be with you to all my nerds. I won’t be posting one of these every day, because believe it or not, I repeat outfits from time to time.
I’d like to introduce one of my style uniforms: the t-shirt and skater skirt. You will see this repeated a lot in different colours and textures, because I know this outfit always works for me.

Today’s ensemble
Friends, I am not very tall. I know I look tall in pictures but that is pure MAGIC! I top out at 5’3″. I lucked out; I’m nicely proportioned and I seem to photograph well. Regardless, this outfit looks great on everyone. Update 10:44am- I’ve been put in my place.

T-shirt with little gold dots
My t-shirt came from Simons last season, and it’s a lightweight cotton with subtle gold dots. I think mixing textures and prints makes an outfit more interesting. At times I’ve probably gone too far and I’ve verged on tacky, but oh well. If tacky is the worse thing that is said about me on a given day, I don’t mind.

Blush lace overlay skirt
My skirt is from a few seasons ago, and it’s from the Talula line at Aritzia. I also have this skirt in ivory. I’m wearing it quite high on my waist, but if I wore a more fitted top I could wear it sitting on my hips and that would give me more length to work with.

Rose gold flats
I’ve paired my ensemble with rose gold Vanessa Wu flats from Simons, $79, purchased on the weekend.
This outfit looks pretty cute with a cropped, light wash denim jacket with the sleeves rolled up. For a bit of added warmth, I’m wearing nude nylons.
See you tomorrow, maybe?
